Murphy was my first foster dog and never left. He ended up in the shelter because animal control took him away from the family for animal abuse. He legs had welts like he was beaten and he was skin and bones, yet when I met him at the shelter, he gave me his paw. My friend who had come with me to pick him up said she knew at that moment he would never leave. I resisted for 6 days and finally called the rescue coordinator and said he had to stay here. He was scared of everything but has gotten much better in the last few years. He is very much a normal dog now - just have to introduce new things slowly. But he loves people and doesn't shy away anymore (He can even do a bit of agility like his sister, Cider) and he knows how to cart unlike Miss C. He's the sweetest boy ever!
